Today, May 12, 2010, is the day that we celebrate teachers. The teachers are Ira Harbison School are the BEST–we celebrate them and their commitment to the students every single day. Please let your child’s teacher know how important they are to you and your child.
At this time of the year, students in grades 2-6 are administered the California STAR tests. This week, the classroom STAR testing began. It is very important that students are well rested each day and eat a good breakfast. We want our students to do well and a positive attitude helps. Please tell your child that you know that they will do well on their tests. Thanks for your support!
Education opens the door to the future. To receive the very best education possible, it is important that our students are at school every day and are also on time every day.
Sometimes, a student becomes ill. We would ask our parents to keep their children home if they are ill. Giving the child the opportunity to rest and get well will, hopefully, lessen the amount of school that the child misses. If a child has a fever, he/she must be “fever free” for a 24 hour period without the use of fever reducing medications before the youngster returns to school.
Stay well–attend school daily!
